Winery and wine restaurant in Bad Fischau-Brunn
Our family winery is located in Lower Austria at the southernmost foothills of the Thermenregion, in the picturesque Bad Fischau-Brunn and is run by the local families Moser and Putz.
Its path began more than 30 years ago, when we discovered the passion for wine and in many tastings and trips we got to know and began to collect wines from all over the world.
For their wedding in 1997, Gerda and Hubertus were given a meadow by an uncle to plant a vineyard. The first vines were planted there in 1998 – mainly Merlot, which today enjoys great popularity as White Merlot and the main component of our Cuvee’ Barrique Franz.
After smaller and larger purchases and leases of additional land, the harvest quantities became larger and marketing possibilities were explored. This led to the plan to start direct marketing within the framework of a wine restaurant. Together with Gitti and Paul, a location was sought and finally found in the old fire station in Bad Fischau. After a year of elaborate and loving renovation of the industrial building from the late 19th century, mainly in self-effort, we were finally able to open for the first time in April 2007.
From the beginning and until today we offer seasonally changing, homemade delicacies, traditional Heurigen dishes and wines from our own production. In the meantime, we are proud that our business is known far beyond the local borders and a large number of regular customers like to visit our restaurant and our guest garden.
